Invocation at Living Legends Award Ceremony
On Sunday, February 28th 2010, Pastor John J. Hunter, Senior Minister
of First AME Church of Los Angeles and First Lady Denise Hunter
delivered the invocation at California State Assemblymember of the
48th District, Mike Davis’ Annual Living Legends Award
Ceremony that honored Grammy Award Winners, Stevie Wonder and Nancy
Wilson. The event was held at the California African American Museum.

On Sunday, February 21, 2010, Pastor John J. Hunter,
Senior Minister of FAME Church of Los Angeles, First Lady Denise
Hunter and the congregation of more than 19,000 members held
a special service celebrating California Assembly Speaker Karen

FAME Spiritual Revival

Rev. Dr. Deforest Blake Soaries delivered passionate sermons to
the congregation at FAME’s Spiritual Revival. Rev. Soaries is the
Pastor at the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens in Somerset,
New Jersey.
Grammy Award Winning Gospel Artist Lady Tramaine Hawkins received
standing ovations as she performed some of her most celebrated musical
selections at FAME’s 2010 Spiritual Revival.

First to Serve Award to Lloyd Clayton
Pastor John J. Hunter presented the FAME Church
First to Serve Award to Lloyd Clayton, brother of the late Avery
Clayton and son of Mayme Clayton, and Dr. Cynthia Hudley, President
of the Clayton Library and Museum. The Mayme Clayton Library &
Museum maintains the largest and most academically substantial independently
held collection of rare and out-of-print books, documents, films,
music, photographs and memorabilia on African American history and
culture in the United States.
