FAME Counseling Center Offers Affordable Services

The First AME Church of Los Angeles’ Community Counseling Center is now open and
serving clients by appointment only on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m

The FAME Community Counseling Center offers Family, Couples, and Individual Counseling, Parenting Support, Stress-Management, Self Enhancement, Help with Depression, Anxiety and many other life issues, Grief & Loss Support and Counseling, and also offers Child and Adolescent Counseling and Group Counseling.

“The holidays are a joyous time of year, but can also cause added stress in our relationships, jobs and families,” said FAME Pastor John J. Hunter. “We urge our congregants and members of the community to take advantage of these affordable services that can give us all tools and knowledge to manage stress and lead healthier, more productive lives.”

Counseling helps people enjoy and more fully appreciate their lives. Therapy can help reduce stress, help you feel more at peace and can help with major life changes and loss.

“Sometimes people are reluctant to seek services because they believe that their problem is not significant enough to bother talking to a counselor, but I encourage you to call for an appointment because we want all of God’s children to have access to the support that the FAME Counseling Center provide,” said First Lady Denise Hunter.
