LOS ANGELES, CA – Hearts were warmed as guests and parents walked into the newly constructed Spirit Child Development Center. June 17, 2010 marked the grand opening of the center after a long and arduous construction process. “We could not have done it without the help of FAME Assistance Corporation,” said Stephanie Dinwiddie, owner of Spirit Child Development Center. FAME Assistance Corporation provided the much needed construction loan for the new child day care facility. The funding was provided through FAME Assistance Corporation’s Revolving Loan Fund.
“During the current challenging economic environment most financial institutions have curtailed lending to many small businesses. The provision of this loan displays FAC’s continued commitment to the economic development of South Los Angeles,” said Denise Hunter, President and Chief Operating Officer of FAME Assistance Corporation. Speaking at the grand opening, Dr. Dinwiddie expressed her gratitude to FAME for the support and assistance provided to the center. “We approached FAME Renaissance and they trusted us to do the right thing for the children, for the organization and the community.” “We are now able to continue our mission of helping to develop intuitive, confident children who are empowered cognitively, socially, and physically through the use of creative, innovative, and age appropriate teaching techniques,” said Dr. Dinwiddie. Since its founding, Spirit has embraced the best of early childhood education curricula by creating an optimum learning environment for all children, regardless of their developmental age, stage, and or abilityand ability.
