American Red Cross Los Angeles Region Elects Denise Hunter to Board

LOS ANGELES--August 23, 2012.
The American Red Cross Los Angeles Region has elected Denise Hunter to its Board of Directors. Hunter will be contributing time, ideas and expertise to ensure the well-being and stability of the Red Cross in the Los Angeles Region. She will also help to ensure that the community’s needs for Red Cross services are met through the fulfillment of the Red Cross mission.

Hunter is the president and chief operating officer of FAME Corporations. FAME Corporations serves as the non-profit arm of the First A.M.E. Church of Los Angeles, the oldest African American congregation in Los Angeles. In her role as president, Hunter has direct responsibility for management and oversight for the thirteen corporate entities borne out of First A.M.E. Church. Hunter also holds the honor of being the first female president of FAME Corporations.
