Pastor John J. Hunter and First Lady Denise Hunter have asked members of the FAME Community to remain in prayer for the members of our Armed Forces.

This past week our military suffered its worst casualties of the Afghan war. On Saturday, 30 American soldiers, most of them members of the elite SEAL Team Six, were killed in action serving their country. They had been on a mission to relieve Army Rangers who had come under fire from Taliban insurgents. Their mission was successful and they were leaving the area in a Chinook helicopter when the chopper was hit by enemy fire. Eight Afghani soldiers who were aboard the helicopter also died. This incident was the deadliest for American service personnel in the 10-year war. Our prayers and condolences go out to the families of these brave men. Each and every one of them a true American hero who thought not about their own safety but rather how they could provide aid and assistance to the beleaguered Rangers. These brave men died last week to protect and defend our country; may they rest in peace.

Prayer for  U. S. Soldiers

Almighty God bless the valiant soldiers of the U. S. Armed Forces who risk their lives to protect the welfare of all Your creation.

Be their shelter and fortress, and to not allow them to falter. May harmony dwell in their ranks, victory in their battalion. Fill their hearts with faith and courage to thwart the evil schemes of our enemies and to abolish every rule of evil.

Protect them on land, in the air and in the sea. Guide them in peace, lead them toward peace, and return them speedily to their families alive and unharmed.Grant us true peace in fulfillment of the prophecy:“Nation shall not lift up sword against another nation ,nor shall they learn war any more.” Let all the inhabitants of the world know that Dominion is Yours, and Your name inspires awe upon all that You have created. May this be Your will. Amen.
