Pastor John J. Hunter and First Lady Denise Hunter send best wishes to Keiji for a safe journey home.Keiji Suzuki wanted very much to sing in the illustrious Unity Choir of First AME Church of Los Angeles. He said of his experience "End of this month, I'm going to go back to Japan.  I'll join Unity Choir's rehearsal this week. However, regrettably it will be last rehearsal for me. I was so glad to join the choir. And every member are so kindly."

First AME Church of Los Angeles enjoys a longstanding relationship with the people of Japan in part because of FAME Church member and  internationally acclaimed Japanese singer Ai Carina Uemura. AI was born in the city of Los Angeles to a Japanese father and half-Japanese, half-Italian mother. Because of her Father's work AI traveled between Los Angeles and Japan. AI polished her talent while a member the First AME Church of Los Angeles Voices of Gospel Choir. First AME Church hand it’s music department has been featured in many news articles and television shows in Japan.  Pastor John J. Hunter was interviewed several weeks ago by the largest broadcaster in Japan at his office at First AME Church. The church is also often bridged to the international community by longtime FAME Church supporter Noel Irwin Hentschel who serves as the Chairman, CEO and co-Founder of AmericanTours International (ATI), annually serving nearly one million visitors from more than 70 countries around the world. ATI is the second largest woman owned business in Los Angeles County and the largest inbound tour operator in the nation.
